A Seven-Week Summer Salon
Over the next seven weeks, in partnership with the The Anaïs Nin Foundation , I will be sharing weekly essays as part of a read-along of Anaïs Nin’s novel A Spy in the House of Love. Each essay will focus on one of the novel’s characters and is intended to foster discussion and encourage a deeper understanding of the text.
The Read-Along will begin June 29th, and last until August 10th.
Alongside the weekly deep dives on my page, there will also be photo contests and opportunities to win prizes from Nin’s personal library. Readers are also encouraged to express their own creativity as they read the novel, whether through essays playlists, or artwork inspired by the novel’s main character, Sabina, or Nin herself.
I recommend picking up the newly released edition of A Spy in the House of Love online through Swallow Press/Ohio University Press. If you’re in New York City or Culver City, California, you can also grab a copy from The Ripped Bodice. Every copy comes with a free souvenir sticker!
